- יַבֵּם, יַיבֵּםch. sam(יבם, ייבםto marry the wife of a brother who died without issue). Targ. Gen. 38:8. Targ. Deut. 25:7; a. e.Yeb.39b אי בעית ייבֵּם if thou so desirest, marry her.
